"In October 1999 we commissioned our first 2 websites. In February 2003, and 3 companies later our websites still did not look like, or do, the things we wanted them to. We had wasted a substantial amount of money and time we really could not afford in an attempt to take our business into the e.commerce age. Broken promises on deadlines and failure to carry out our instructions had left us a nasty impression of web building companies. Liaison with other similar companies as ourselves revealed the same pattern of ‘taking the money and running’.
Just as we were on the verge of re-thinking our strategy, we were introduced to 10th Planet following a chance conversation with our internet services provider. At 10th Planet we were able to talk directly to the owners / designers about our needs and ideas, some of the latter being rather vague.
Their response and detailed proposals were prompt and demonstrated a clear understanding of what we wanted. They had listened! Where they felt it appropriate, they made suggestions on design and functionality based on their experience and, much to our benefit, added a degree of artistic flair way beyond our expectations. They even advised and assisted us with the launch of our sites.
Our 2 sites are now fully operational, and importantly, from a business point of view, “are doing the business!” They are maintained on a daily basis by10th Planet - equally promptly and without fuss. Moreover, Andy and Helen have quickly learned the nature of our business and tailor our requests accordingly - without being asked. They always seem to know what we want even when we, ourselves, are having difficulty articulating it.
Primarily, we needed our websites to make our business immediately available to a much wider audience and, of course, to bring in new customers. They have, and are doing this on an ever increasing basis. We are proud of them, and we know many of our competitors are envious of them. What more could we ask."
